Shots were fired into two East Rome homes over the weekend as police continue to investigate a consistently high number of firearms stolen from, mostly, unlocked vehicles. Floyd County to Award $2.4M Construction Contract for New Police Headquarters
The Floyd County Commission is poised to approve a $2.4 million contract to renovate the former Glenwood Primary School as the new county police headquarters. Cartersville-based Pennant Construction Management, Inc. was the low bidder on the project and the county purchasing department is recommending a contract not to exceed $2,447,000.
