Filings for all sorts of statewide and county offices open May 21

The candidate filing period will be open between Tuesday, May 21, and Tuesday, June 4, during office hours. All candidate filings must be received by 5 p.m. Tuesday, June 4. Note: Filing offices will be closed Monday, May 27, in observance of Memorial Day.

Candidate filings for the following offices are to be filed at the Secretary of State, 180 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul.

• U.S. senator.

• U.S. representative, District 6.

Candidate filings for the following offices are to be filed at the Secretary of State, 180 State Office Building, 100 Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd., St. Paul, or candidates may file in the county in which they reside:

• State representative, Districts 14B, 27A, 27B, 30B.

• Supreme Court chief justice.

• Supreme Court associate justice, seat 5, 6.

• Court of Appeals seat 2, 3 (2nd Congressional District), 4, 6 (1st Congressional District), 8, 12, 14 (8th Congressional District).

• District Court judge District 10, seats 2, 11, 13, 18, 19, 27, 29, 30, 40, 41, 42, 45.

Candidate filings for the following offices are to be filed at Elections Department, Sherburne County Government Center, 13880 Business Center Dr. NW, Elk River:

• County commissioner, Districts 1, 5.

• Soil and Water Conservation District 1, 3, 5.
