Country artist comes back to hometown Marion for release party
A Marion-grown country artist is giving his hometown the chance to listen to his new single at a release party held downtown. Chad Clark , who grew up in Marion County, recently recorded two tracks in Nashville, Tennessee. But now, he's returned home to share one of the songs, "Wrong Side Of The Tracks." The release party will be held on Sunday, Jan. 18, from 1-4 p.m. at Shovel City Drinkery, 181 N. Main St., Marion. Clark will be in attendance for a casual meet-and-greet with fans, but won't be performing. The song isn't new for fans who have been following Clark's music; he's performed it for years at his shows. But now, musicians in Nashville have put their own spin on it. "We just had some A-listers down there put their spin on it, and it's one of the most commercial things I've ever put out," Clark said. The second track Clark recorded will be released sometime after "Wrong Side Of The Tracks." He's currently in talks to return to Nashville to record more songs and hopes to have an EP out by the beginning of summer. Clark began his journey with music at 15 and fronted several bands
