UW Eau Claire Chancellor files for motion to dismiss case
EAU CLAIRE, Wis. (WLAX/WEUX) – UW Eau Claire Chancellor James Schmidt wants a discrimination case filed against him to be dismissed. Olga Diaz, the former Vice Chancellor of Equity Diversity and Inclusion, filed a lawsuit against Schmidt in March alleging that Schmidt asked her to resign after she supported another employee’s affirmative action complaint against him. On Friday, Schmidt’s legal team filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit.
