Nearly 100 apartments, shops and restaurants proposed on Oak Tree Road
EDISON – A three-story mixed-use building with commercial and restaurant space, along with nearly 100 age-restricted apartments, is proposed for a heavily traveled Oak Tree Road property. Applicant JK Estates LLC is seeking preliminary and final major site plan approval from the Planning Board to construct the project on a 7.65-acre site at 1696 Oak Tree Road, which is governed by the 1696 Oak Tree Road Redevelopment Plan. The property is currently vacant, and the applicant plans to build a three-story mixed-use building with 58,785 square feet of commercial space and 4,000 square feet of restaurant space on the first floor. Plans also call for 90 age-restricted apartments on the second and third floors, with about 18 units designated as affordable under the New Jersey Fair Housing Act. Bordentown Racking Firm Leases Entire 276,000-Square-Foot Penwood Warehouse
A family-owned racking and shelving company has leased an entire industrial building in Bordentown, taking all 275,955 square feet of a recently renovated warehouse at 201 Elizabeth St. Diversified Rack & Shelving Inc. will occupy the full property under a deal with landlord Penwood Real Estate Investment Management LLC, moving into a facility built for heavy trailer traffic and tall storage racks.
