West Branch graduates 131 students
West Branch High School celebrated its 131 graduates from the Class of 2024 on Friday night at the school. The commencement featured 11 valedictorians and one salutatorian. Class speaker Brynn Smith, who was one of three students to earn the status of summa cum laude with distinction, was the class speaker during the event. The others with top class honors were Emmy Jones and Olivia Showalter. The 2024 Warrior valedictorians were Beau Alazaus; Sophia Ayers; Mary Buehler; Griffin Flickinger; Sophia Gregory; Emmy Jones; Samantha Koneval; Rosiana Maendel; Olivia Showalter; Brynn Smith; and Aaron Tucker. Salutatorian was Emma Sanor. Also taking part in the commencement ceremony were West Branch Superintendent Micki Egli, who gave the welcome, and the senior members of the school’s choir, who sang the national anthem. Principal Brian Coffee and Assistant Principal Penny DeShields presented the class and awarded the honors diplomas during the event. Check out more photos at the-review.com.
