BJ’s Wholesale Club officially opens new location in Ocala
BJ’s Wholesale Club officially opened the doors to its first Ocala warehouse on Friday, welcoming shoppers to Marion County’s second membership-based wholesale club. Located at 7351 SW 60th Avenue within the Winding Oaks development near State Road 200, the new location features a full grocery department with fresh produce, meats, a bakery, and a deli, alongside general merchandise, household essentials, and consumer electronics.

The future Ocala Buc-ee's has a new neighbor to the south.
(Clarification: The deed for the land purchased by Buc 75 LLC was recorded by the court clerk on Oct. 20. An earlier version of this story was unclear on that point.) The future Ocala Buc-ee's has a new neighbor to the south. A newly formed Ocala-based company called Buc 75 LLC has paid $1.675 million for land just south and east of the site of the new Buc-ee's, which is scheduled to open in 2029. All of the land in question is in the southeast quadrant of the new interchange being built at Interstate 75 and Northwest 49th Street. That is north of U.S. 27 and south of State Road 326. In 2023, Buc-ee's paid $8.62 million for more than 30 acres just east of I-75 at the new interchange, which is under construction.
