One patient transported to the hospital after single-vehicle crash on I-75
MICANOPY, Fla. – This morning around 8:30 a.m., units from Alachua County Fire Rescue and Micanopy Fire Rescue received a report of a vehicle accident on I-75 at the 377 Mile Marker. Upon arrival, crews found a single occupant entrapped in a small SUV with heavy damage to the front and driver’s side. Units on scene utilized Hydraulic Cutters and Spreaders to free the occupant from the compromised vehicle. The vehicle was barely visible from the roadway after traveling into the woodline and striking several large trees. Crews worked quickly to stabilize the patient before transport to the local trauma center.

An Orange Park man was arrested Sunday on charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and criminal mischief, deputies say. Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the Stay Suites of America in reference to a family neighborhood call for service on Saturday, March 18. Motorist alert: New Clay County road project begins week of March 20
One new Clay County road project is scheduled to begin Monday, March 20 in Lake Asbury at the 2700 block of Henley Road; north of Orchard Walk Lane. The project is for stormwater system upgrades and both northbound lanes of Henley Road will be closed during construction. Florida man arrested for drug possession on Blanding Boulevard in Orange Park, deputies say
A Jacksonville man was arrested in Orange Park Friday for possession of fentanyl and drug equipment, deputies said. At approximately 12:32 a.m. Monday, Clay County Sheriff’s Office deputies performed a traffic stop on a silver Chevrolet SUV for not having a license plate attached. While initiating the stop, deputies placed a spotlight on the driver’s side mirror and saw the male driver with his head down in front of the steering wheel trying to conceal an item, they said.
