Work continues on Alton’s Rock Spring Drive
With funding from the state’s Rebuild Illinois fund among others, Alton embarked on a project to fix drainage issues along Rock Spring Drive in early 2022. The area between Brown Street and College Avenue was upgraded with new sidewalks, courtesy of a Safe Routes to School grant, and this will further improve that area, according to the city’s Public Works Director.
