Wahpeton standoff suspect charged in Richland County
WAHPETON, N.D. (Valley News Live) - A man who was the subject of a stand-off and manhunt, prompting a shelter-in-place in Wahpeton on Friday is now formally charged. Nathan VanCleave Deemer, III, is charged with felony counts of terrorizing (child victim) and preventing arrest. He is also charged with misdemeanor counts of reckless endangerment and domestic violence.

SUNDAY NIGHT - MEMORIAL DAY: Sunday started off mild and sunny, and the sunshine lasted well into the afternoon. Combined with temperatures in the 60s to low-70s, it was a good day. Sunday night is different, however, as showers, and even a few thunderstorms, will cross over the Red River Valley around midnight and moving into Lakes Country overnight. So expect rain in some areas. It’s not until after midday on Monday that the line of showers, with a chance of thunderstorms, moves out of Lakes Country. Thereafter, Monday afternoon will be partly to mostly cloudy, with a few isolated showers and even an isolated thunderstorm possible. Monday will also be breezy, with northerly winds of 10-20 mph and gusts up to 35 mph. On the bright side, temperatures will be in the mid-60s in some areas, so it will feel mild outside.
