ST. LOUIS — One person died and another was injured after their car crashed into the side of a brick building Wednesday night in south St. Louis. According to the St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department, the deadly crash happened at about 10:45 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Gravois Avenue and Newport Court in the city's Bevo neighborhood.

Hazelwood company owner pleads guilty to wire fraud
The owner of a steel company in Hazelwood, Missouri on Tuesday admitted committing fraud during a repair project for a Mississippi River lock and dam. Theodore J. “Ted” Stegeman, 60, pleaded guilty in U.S. District Court in St. Louis to one felony count of wire fraud. In his plea agreement, Stegeman admitted that between October and December of 2019, he devised a scheme to defraud the contractor and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers by falsely claiming that a part manufactured by his company passed safety tests.
Water main break forces early dismissal at 4 schools in Mehlville district
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. – A boil order is in effect, and four schools in the Mehlville School District are dismissing immediately due to a water main break.
