Man charged obstruction, resisting arrest in Morris County
DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including obstruction and resisting arrest in Denville Township. On Nov. 25, at around 12:03 a.m., police responded to the Denville Train Station on Estling Lake Road for a report of an intoxicated male peering into and possibly attempting to gain entry into several parked cars, police said.

DENVILLE, NJ - A Jersey City man was found to be in possession of a set of "brass knuckles," an illegal weapon, when he was pulled over recently for a motor vehicle stop, police said. CHATHAM, NJ -- Conner Mildon and Aaron Vilar were sworn in as the newest members of the Chatham Township Police Department at the regular meeting of the Chatham Township Committee on Tuesday night. Both will be graduating from the Morris County Police Academy on Thursday. Both Mildon and Vilar entered the academy as alternate route candidates. Milton is a 2018 graduate of East Hanover High and worked for the East Hanover School District as a school counselor prior to attending the police academy. He graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science from Rutgers in 2022. Vilar is a 2017 graduate of Dover High and earned a Criminal Justice degree in 2021 from Rutgers University, where he also minored in Psychology. Hunterdon County Crash Investigation Closes Portion Of Route 78

Fatal Collision in Caldwell Under Investigation
CALDWELL, NJ -- A 68-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Bloomfield Avenue Sunday evening. Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Caldwell Police Chief James H. Bongiorno announced that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau (CSIB) is investigating the incident. On Sunday, Nov. 26, at 6:33 p.m., police were notified of a pedestrian struck near 395 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell. The pedestrian, Gregory Katz, 68, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.
