DENVILLE TOWNSHIP, NJ (Morris County) – A Morris County man is facing charges including obstruction and resisting arrest in Denville Township. On Nov. 25, at around 12:03 a.m., police responded to the Denville Train Station on Estling Lake Road for a report of an intoxicated male peering into and possibly attempting to gain entry into several parked cars, police said.

PEAPACK-GLADSTONE BOROUGH, NJ (Somerset County) – A Morris County woman is facing several charges including operating under the influence of drugs following a crash in Somerset County last week. The crash happened on Nov. 22, at 12:22 p.m., in the area of Pottersville Road and Route 206, police said.

Authorities say the man got violent at a home on Linn Drive when they suggested he visit the hospital.

WEST ORANGE, N.J. -- Two people were killed Tuesday morning when their truck crashed into a ditch in West Orange.Chopper 2 flew over the scene on Northfield Avenue.Sources told CBS New York the truck's driver may have suffered a medical emergency. DENVILLE, NJ - A Jersey City man was found to be in possession of a set of "brass knuckles," an illegal weapon, when he was pulled over recently for a motor vehicle stop, police said. The discovery was made shortly after 8:32 a.m. on Nov. 25 when Denville police stopped 51-year-old Johnnie Britt, 3rd on Route 10 west after they observed him tailgating, police said. CHATHAM, NJ -- Conner Mildon and Aaron Vilar were sworn in as the newest members of the Chatham Township Police Department at the regular meeting of the Chatham Township Committee on Tuesday night. Both will be graduating from the Morris County Police Academy on Thursday. Both Mildon and Vilar entered the academy as alternate route candidates. Milton is a 2018 graduate of East Hanover High and worked for the East Hanover School District as a school counselor prior to attending the police academy. He graduated with a degree in Criminal Justice and a minor in Political Science from Rutgers in 2022. Vilar is a 2017 graduate of Dover High and earned a Criminal Justice degree in 2021 from Rutgers University, where he also minored in Psychology. The crash occurred on the westbound side near the ramp to exit 24 to CR 523/Oldwick Road in Tewksbury around 1:55 p.m., according to 511NJ. All lanes were closed on the ramp, as well as one right lane, the NJDOT said. This is a developing story. Check back for more.

CALDWELL, NJ -- A 68-year-old pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Bloomfield Avenue Sunday evening. Acting Essex County Prosecutor Theodore N. Stephens, II and Caldwell Police Chief James H. Bongiorno announced that the Essex County Prosecutor’s Crime Scene Investigations Bureau (CSIB) is investigating the incident. On Sunday, Nov. 26, at 6:33 p.m., police were notified of a pedestrian struck near 395 Bloomfield Ave. in Caldwell. The pedestrian, Gregory Katz, 68, was transported to St. Joseph’s University Medical Center in Paterson and pronounced dead at 7:25 p.m. The driver of the vehicle remained on the scene.  The investigation is active and ongoing.
