A woman was taken to a hospital after she was hit by a train and suffered a “severe” leg injury Saturday night, officials confirmed. Authorities responded at about 7:23 p.m. on a report of a woman who was struck and on a train platform in Morristown, an NJ Transit spokesperson told NJ Advance Media on Saturday night.

New Jersey State Trooper Dead During Training
A New Jersey state trooper has died during training, Sunday. Marcellus E. Bethea was with Troop D Morristown. Trooper Bethea served with the state police for more than eight years. Authorities have not yet released his cause of death. New Jersey State Police are expected to release viewing and funeral arrangements in the near future.
