Jamestown Softball Splits With Dickinson To End WDA Regular Season
JAMESTOWN – The Blue Jays ended the WDA softball regular season with one tough game, then a gem. Dickinson had 24 base runners in a 12-1 rout of Jamestown in the first game of a doubleheader Tuesday at Trapper Lawrence Field. The Blue Jays answered in the second game with a two-hit shutout by Maddie Hoff in a 2-0 win.
Jamestown Teams 3rd At Last Chance Track & Field
VALLEY CITY – Jamestown Track & Field had third place finishes for both genders Monday at the Bill Jansen Last Chance Meet at Hanna Field. The Blue Jay girls tied for third with 99.83 points. Julia Skari won for the fifth time this season in the 300 meter hurdles with her best time of the season, 46.20. The 4×100 relay team of Allysah Larson, Mia Kaiser, Skari and Jaylynn Olson won in 51.03 seconds. Kinley Anderson won in the discus for her second straight meet and fifth time this season at 128 feet, five inches. Layna Hoffer cleared five feet, two inches to win her fourth high jump competition of the year. Larson set a personal best of 37 feet, 10 inches to win the triple jump, her fourth win this season in that event.

JHS Boys Golf Struggles At St. Mary’s Invitational
BISMARCK – Jamestown Blue Jay boys golf posted its lowest finish so far in 2024 Tuesday, finishing seventh at the St. Mary’s Invitational at Hawktree Golf Club. Jamestown shot 349, the team’s second-highest 18-hole score of the season. Hunter Gegelman was best for the Blue Jays with 83, followed by Vaughn Romsdal with 88, Nate Walz and Luke LeFevre with 89, Camron Andersen with 91 and Kai Backen with 99.
JHS Girls Tennis Falls Just Short Of First WDA Dual Win
JAMESTOWN – Jamestown Blue Jay Girls Tennis had its best chance for its first WDA dual win of the season Monday, but Minot North just held the Jays off. Zoe Bahr and Leiah Rojas won the number three doubles match in three sets over Daphne Olson and CeCe Maulding to give Minot North a 5-4 win over Jamestown at Bolinger Courts, the Sentinels’ first conference dual win.
