Zippity Do Dog is for sale again as owners cite health issues

Just six months after taking ownership of the popular Framingham hot dog stand Zippity Do Dog , owners Alan and Paponake MacIntosh are looking for a new buyer, citing health reasons. The MacIntoshes took over the beloved hot dog stand parked at 160 Speen St. in May and have since revamped the menu with new ingredients and items while continuing the nearly 20 year old business. They purchased the stand from former owner Roland Houle, who stepped away from the business after seven years to pursue a new career opportunity. In a social media post on Nov. 4, the MacIntoshes announced that they made the decision to sell Zippity Do Dog and find a new owner to continue the business. "Due to recent health complications, we have been forced to make the incredibly difficult decision to sell Zippity Do Dog," the post read. "It is a special part of the community with a wonderful history and loyal customers who have made every day worthwhile." Alan MacIntosh told the Daily News that they have not identified a potential buyer for the restaurant and said it could be

5 Best Restaurants in Worcester, Massachusetts You Need to Try Before Everyone Else Finds Them

Worcester, Massachusetts — a city where red-brick mills line the Blackstone, where the laughter of college students mingles with the wisdom of old-timers, where the scent of garlic, soy, and woodsmoke drifts through neighborhoods stitched together by memory and migration. Here, the architecture is a patchwork: triple-deckers, Victorian spires, and the gentle sprawl of new ambition. Worcester is a crossroads — of Irish pubs and Vietnamese bakeries, of Polish delis and Dominican grills, of artists, nurses, teachers, and families who gather in parks and on porches, sharing stories and meals beneath the wide New England sky.
