Construction underway on Beatty’s Ford Beach project
DENVER – Lincoln County in partnership with Duke Energy announced construction is underway for the Beatty’s Ford Beach project located at the end of Unity Church Road in Denver. The final project will include a public swim beach area, an accessible fishing pier, a concession building with bathrooms, additional paved parking and a looped drive for safe entering and exiting of the park.

DAVIDSON – A fledgling nonprofit founded by two determined women is connecting aging homeowners on Davidson’s west side with resources they need to stay in their homes. It’s a work of heart that started with a chance meeting. Elizabeth Wilson first encountered Cherese Spand five or six years ago in a Cornelius nail salon. They hit it off immediately but didn’t stay in touch.
