Giving Back: InRoads Credit Union’s Food Drive
InRoads Credit Union’s food drive benefitting Columbia Pacific Food Bank (CPFB) has wrapped up. Through generous donations from community members, the credit union raised $1,088 and 490 pounds of food for the food pantry. InRoads hosted the food drive from April 22 through May 3 across its three branches in Scappoose, St. Helens, and Rainier. Greathouse Performance on Saturday, May 25 at 2 pm – “Life is a Cabaret” is the second and newest of Helena and Mark Greathouse’s two original shows which describe their lives together through flashbacks since 1968, when they first met as foreign students in former West Germany. This new show contains 12 mostly cabaret songs, both in American and Czech, all combined through dialog and accordion music with funny incidents from their life. There will be a question and answer session afterwards.
Finally Home: Columbia Hills welcomes back residents
Columbia Hills Retirement Center has risen from the ashes, welcoming back residents of the facility with a ceremony just over 18 months after a deadly fire claimed the life of one resident and displaced others. The fire took place in October of 2022 at Columbia Hills Retirement Center at 36050 Pittsburg Road in St. Helens. An explosion and subsequent fire took the life of one resident and caused significant damage to one of the facility’s wings. ...
