Neenah credit union changes name to Linden Credit Union
NEENAH – Badger Globe Credit Union has changed its name to Linden Credit Union as the Neenah-based financial cooperative serves a broader membership across seven Wisconsin counties. The change follows a 2025 expansion that made anyone who lives, works or attends school in Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Outagamie, Waupaca, Waushara or Winnebago County eligible to join, according to a community announcement. The credit union traces its history to 1947, when nine Badger Globe mill workers pooled $9 to create a financial cooperative for employees and their families. Its former name reflected the group the credit union was established to serve. As eligibility expanded beyond those roots, the Badger Globe name no longer clearly described who could become a member, according to the announcement. “Badger Globe will always be an important part of our story,” said Annie Hutter, president and CEO of Linden Credit Union. “But as our credit union has grown, we needed a name that made it clear more people could belong here. Manitowoc school levy will cost about $1,316 on a $200,000 home
MANITOWOC – School board members approved a property tax levy of $31.4 million to help pay for the Manitowoc Public School District ’s 2026-27 budget. That’s an increase of 6.14% over the 2025-26 spending document. School district officials attribute the increase to a smaller-than-anticipated payment from the state. The board approved an equalized tax rate of $6.58 per $1,000 of equalized property value. Nov. 3 election results: Here's what Tuesday's election results mean for Manitowoc County This means the owner of a home valued at $200,000 could expect to pay about $1,316 for the school district portion of the property tax bill. This is not the amount property owners will see on their individual tax bills, which will use assessed value for the town, village or city in which they live. Administrators said the levy is made up of two parts: $30.6 million to support general operations, which include staffing, programming, student services and other day-to-day expenses. About three-fourths of the district’s spending is earmarked to pay teachers, administrators and staff. $739,467 to cover debt payments tied to a voter-approved 2025 capital referendum. Officials said the district received $42 million in state aid, about $102,000 less than anticipated. The district
