Celebrate Independence Day with East Moline
The City of East Moline invites you to enjoy fireworks and family fun at the 2024 Independence Day Celebration!. Kick off the holiday Wednesday, July 3 with fireworks at River Bend Park, located at 900 Bend Blvd., East Moline. The kids’ zone is 5:45-8:15 p.m., featuring carnival games, face painting, tattoo stations, bubble magic and balloon art. Enjoy live music from For Those About to Yacht from 6:30-9:30 p.m.

Moline-Coal Valley School District moving its administrative support office
MOLINE, Ill. — The Moline-Coal Valley School District's Administrative Support Center has a new home. According to district officials, the district's school board voted to purchase the former Vibrant Credit Union Corporate Office, located at 1900 52nd Ave., at their meeting on April 8. The acquisition cost approximately $1.8 million.
Red, White and Boom! fireworks display set to return July 3
The annual bi-state Red, White and Boom! will be held on July 3, 2024. Family-friendly activities will take place that evening in downtown Davenport and Rock Island. At 9:30 p.m. fireworks will be shot, in sync to music broadcast on 97X, from two barges in the middle of the Mississippi River.
