Criminal probe into Davenport building collapse almost finished
DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - Iowa’s top law enforcement agency is wrapping up the criminal investigation into The Davenport building collapse. Special Agent Ryan Kedley is in the Major Crimes Unit at the Department of Criminal Investigations. He told TV-6 Investigates on Monday that an investigative report is being finalized.

Iowa Man Injured on One Vehicle Accident Near Wells on Friday
An Iowa man was injured in a one vehicle accident 3 miles north of Wells on Friday afternoon. According to the Minnesota State Patrol, at approximately 3:35pm, a 2022 Peterbilt Tractor driven by 66 year old David Allen Fuller of Davenport, was northbound on Highway 22, near 200th Street, when it entered the ditch and rolled.
Moline firefighters respond to mobile home fire
MOLINE, Ill. — On Monday, Dec. 4, around 7 a.m., Moline firefighters responded to an active structure fire. When first responders arrived on the scene, two residents of the mobile home had already evacuated and smoke could be seen coming from the structure. The fire took about 10 minutes to extinguish. The structure had working smoke detectors.

Illinois man reportedly found with fake ID when arrested for public intoxication
A Quad City-area man was arrested early Sunday morning after his alleged intoxicated behavior caught the eye of police. Arrest reports indicate that as an Iowa City Police officer was heading north on Gilbert Street just before 1am, he observed 19-year-old James Toland of Silvis Illinois staggering southbound. The officers stopped his vehicle and attempted contact, but Toland allegedly fled. He ran across railroad tracks east of First Street and fell twice before the officer caught up to him.

Pursuit leads to a crash and injuries in eastern Iowa
(Davenport, Iowa) – A pursuit in eastern Iowa’s Scott County, Thursday night, resulted in a crash and two people injured. According to the Iowa State Patrol, a 1988 Suzuki motorcycle operated by 28-year-old Dayshaun Rias, of Davenport, was actively eluding law enforcement, when Rias failed to yield the right-of-way to a 2016 Dodge Dart, driven by 25-year-old Ryan Harris, of Davenport. The motorcycle and car collided at the intersection of W. 2nd and Gaines Streets, in Davenport, at around 10:20-p.m., Thursday.

Police say that while the woman dressed in black distracted a store clerk, the other woman grabbed liquor and hid it under her dress on Oct. 24 at 7:45 p.m. She walked out of store without paying, and the pair drove off in a white sports car.
No one injured from Park View home fire
No injuries were reported from a home fire in Park View. On 11/30/2023 at 09:01, The Eldridge Volunteer Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 200 block of Shawnee Cir. in Park View on Novemer 30 at 9:01 a.m. Firefighters arrived at the scene of a single-family home with dense smoke and flames coming from the structure. Fire crews put out the fire and were able to extinguish hot spots. All residents of the home escaped uninjured.

6 months since the Davenport collapse: A look back at the tragedy
DAVENPORT, Iowa — Nov. 28 marks six months since the apartment building at 324 Main St. in Davenport partially collapsed, with many in the community still seeking answers. Three men died and one survivor was left with a life-altering injury from the collapse after needing to have her leg amputated at the scene. Dozens of others were displaced as well. In the months before the west wall fell, engineers and city officials visited the building nearly a dozen times and cited numerous issues prior to the tragic event on May 28.
