    9 displaced after house fire damages 3 homes in Northeast DC

    WASHINGTON ( DC News Now ) — Approximately 100 emergency workers were at a house fire in Northeast D.C. Wednesday afternoon.

    DC Fire and EMS said the home was located in the 3700 block of 24th St. NE. Two people who live in inside the two-story house had to evacuate it.

    The fire, which caused extensive to the home where it started, caused damage to two other houses.

    Shortly after 5 p.m., DC Fire and EMS said crews were working to put out “pockets of fire” in two homes. As of that time, no one was hurt.

    Just before 6 p.m., DC Fire and EMS said the fire was under control.

    Six adults and three children were displaced.

    Investigators were investigating what caused the fire.
