BOWIE, Md. ( DC News Now ) — Six Flags America in Bowie is debuting its newest water slide this Memorial Day weekend, and with summer approaching and kids almost out of school, there are some affordable ways you can save at the amusement park.

The new “RipQurl Blaster” water coaster featured at Hurricane Harbor is the tallest water ride of its kind in the Mid-Atlantic. Riders get to enter a raft nearly 40 feet in the air and zig-zag through several uphill rip currents and breathtaking drops.

The slide will be open to the public on Memorial Day weekend.
