Wiscasset graduates in Stover Auditorium
Wiscasset Middle High School (WMHS) seniors walked across the stage, received a diploma and shared joy with Superintendent of Schools Kim Andersson, School Committee Chair Jason Putnam and Class Advisor Deb Pooler as the seniors became graduates. Pooler moved their tassels, marking the rite of passage, on Thursday, June 6 in Stover Auditorium. Celebrated by family, friends, faculty and the community, the graduates marched as a group for the final time during commencement. Andersson and Principal Sarah Hubert led faculty and their families into the auditorium before the students entered.

BRHS seniors continue Grand March tradition
An over 100-year-old tradition continued June 6 in Boothbay Region High School’s Porter Memorial Gymnasium. The graduating class of 2024 participated in the Grand March, one of the community’s most beloved celebrations. The event, sponsored by Boothbay Region Alumni Association, was led by Alumni Association President Lynn Martin. Music was provided by the Boothbay Region Alumni Community Band and complemented by ample cheering and clapping from the bleachers filled with family and friends.
Saints smite Seahawks’ playoff ambitions
The Boothbay Region High School varsity baseball team’s season was smothered with a 10-0 loss to St. Dominic Academy June 5. The Class D South playoff match was the Seahawks’ last game for 2024. They ended their regular season 6-10, and eighth out of 11 in the Heal point standings.
Thomaston Grammar School Spring Fine Arts Night was an amazing night
Our annual TGS Spring Fine Arts Night was held on Thursday, May 30. What an amazing night full of music and art!. There was art hung throughout the building featuring a variety of items: penguins, pumpkins, spiders, balloon dogs, sunflowers, hearts and more. There was also a Glow Gallery in the art room where there was amazing glowing artwork made from paper and clay, including: butterflies, skateboards, crowns, and more. There was a sea of beautiful artwork here at TGS.
Despite tournament loss, BRHS girls tennis looks bright
With only one loss with their full lineup during the regular season in the first match of the season against Hall-Dale, Boothbay Region High School girls tennis coach Alex Arsenault remains optimistic about the program. The team will return with all but one player, senior Sarah Kreft, who is graduating.
