Future Ontario Raising Cane’s poised to take over current Denny’s site
ONTARIO — Raising Cane’s is completing a traffic study with plans for a restaurant in Ontario at 720 N. Lexington Springmill Road. The site currently hosts Denny’s, which has operated at the property since 1979. Raising Cane’s plans to demolish the current structure to build a 48,500 square feet restaurant with a drive-thru.

Underwater robotics: Students learn about defense manufacturing at camp
MANSFIELD — About a dozen middle schoolers gained skills and learned about careers in defense manufacturing at the “Building Giants” Submarine Manufacturing Camp. 1 killed, 1 injured in 2-vehicle crash in Seneca County
TIFFIN — The Norwalk post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol is investigating an early-morning crash that killed a Bucyrus, Ohio, man Friday. Dylan E. Schiets, 20, of Oak Harbor, Ohio, was driving south on State Rt. 53 near Seneca County Road 38 around 5:40 a.m. Friday when he crossed the center line and collided with a northbound car being driven by John P. Lunsford, 56, of Bucyrus, Ohio, officials said. Mr. Lunsford died at the scene. Mr. Schiets suffered serious injuries and was taken to Mercy Health St. Vincent Medical Center by air ambulance.
