Car crashes into hay bales, trees in Colrain

COLRAIN, Mass. (WWLP) – Police are investigating a car crash Tuesday in Colrain where a vehicle was found hundreds of yards off the roadway.

According to the Colrain Fire Department, a Colrain ambulance crew came across the motor vehicle accident on Jacksonville Road around 3:23 p.m. Police and firefighters were called to assist.

An early investigation found the car had gone off the roadway several hundred yards away and was launched from a bank, striking several round hay bales. The vehicle then rolled over several times before crashing into some trees.

The Colrain Fire Department said there were injuries in the crash but no word on the extent of those injuries. The Massachusetts State Police are investigating the crash.
