LAKE PLACID | A Saranac Lake woman is now behind bars following a routine traffic stop that led to the roadside discovery of methamphetamine, crack cocaine and cocaine. Lake Placid Village Police pulled Nancy G. Nixon over on Main Street at about 5:15 a.m. Nov. 30 when she was allegedly found with approximately 33 grams of meth, 85 grams of cocaine and 126 grams of crack cocaine.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul has reported the completion of the Adirondack Rail Trail's first phase. This 34-mile recreational corridor links Tupper Lake and Lake Placid.
