    Police: Illinois man that was missing since 2022 found dead in Chicago

    CHICAGO (WTVO) — Oswego Police found the dead body of a Bolingbrook man who has been missing since 2022 on Tuesday.

    Edward Gardner, 21, was last seen on March 13th, 2022, and was reported missing a day later.

    Gardner’s rented white Dodge Charger was found crashed in Hammond, Indiana two weeks later. Police do not believe Gardner was there but people inside the Charger ran from the scene.

    According to WLS , The Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office identified a dead body found in Chicago to be the remains of Gardener.

    The death of Gardner is still an ongoing investigation, according to Oswego Police.
