    Where To Eat At Wrigley Field

    Whether you’re a diehard Cubs fan whose only wish is another World Series win sooner than 100 years from now, or you just love belting “Go Cubs Go” with a beer bat in hand, Cubs games are always a great time. But hoppy liquid carbs can only get you so far during nine innings. When you start getting hungry, and a steamy, foil-wrapped hot dog (no ketchup, obviously) doesn’t cut it, here are eight of the best things you can eat at Wrigley Field.

    Hot Doug’s Sausages

    Location: Hot Doug’s, Bleachers Platform 14

    Hot Doug’s might’ve closed their beloved spot in 2014, but their spirit and sausages live on at Wrigley. The menu switches up every homestand, but you can expect combos like the Randy Martz with a spicy nacho cheese pork sausage and tomatillo salsa to brighten everything up, or the Jody Gerut with a smoky andouille sausage and zippy cajun mustard. Everything on the menu is named after obscure Cubs players so ordering doubles as a sports history lesson.

    Small Cheval Burger

    Location: Small Cheval, Upper Bleachers

    HBP is not something you want to deal with if you’re at bat (that's hit by pitch, for all you newbies). But we've given the acronym a different meaning: Happy Burger People (trademark pending). Go get a Small Cheval double cheeseburger with tangy dijonnaise and crisp pickles and you’ll be HBP, too.

    Big Slugger Nachos

    Location: Portables Upper Deck, Section 307 and 327; Sheffield Market, Section 134

    This helmet full of nachos might be Wrigleyville’s greatest architectural feat, other than the stadium and the bleachers built on top of surrounding rooftops. Every layer has an even spread of tortilla chips, beefy chili, and cheese sauce, plus fresh pico de gallo and pickled jalapeños, which is enough to make this feel like a balanced meal. You’ll never be left with the sad clump of naked chips at the bottom of the pile, like at lesser places that don’t take nacho construction seriously.

    Chef-Crafted Bleacher Nachos

    Location: Portables, Bleachers Platform 14

    If you just thought, “Sure, a helmet full of nachos is cool and all, but I’d much rather build my own,” you’re in luck. Head to the bleachers at the back and you can live out your dreams of being a nacho designer. You can mix and match proteins like barbacoa, chicken tinga, and soy chorizo, choose between black or pinto beans, queso or nacho cheese, and then throw on more toppings like pico de gallo, corn relish, sour cream, and jalapeños. Unfortunately, this doesn’t come with commemorative headgear, but hey, that’s the price of autonomy.

    Loaded Greek Fries

    Location: Addison Street Grill, Section 126

    Until Crate and Barrel releases a helmet dishware collection, you'll have to build your own by ordering enough Greek fries from this stall in right field. This helmet takes the “loaded” philosophy to heart. It's basically a Greek salad tossed onto some fries. And it turns out crumbly feta, meaty slivers of gyro, and crisp lettuce and red onions taste great with a bed of salty, crispy potatoes hiding underneath.

    Chimichurri Steak Sandwich

    Location: Marquee Classics, Section 117

    Between burgers, hot dogs, and Italian beef, cow makes a strong showing at Wrigley (even if the Cubs might not always do the same). But if you’re the type of person who feels the magnetic pull towards all things beef, this sandwich is also worth considering. The thin pieces of steak taste nice and zesty thanks to an ancho chile rub, while the chimichurri and horseradish sauce bring a needed bright punch. And crusty ciabatta really takes one for the team and soaks up all of the juices.

    Tater Twist

    Location: Right Field Classics, Section 128

    Is this footlong potato chip spiral a novelty? Yes. Is it extremely fun to eat, incredibly crispy, and great when dunked into a creamy pickle dip that probably has a whole hectare of dill? Absolutely. We see you, dill freaks.

    Chicken Quesadilla

    Location: Portables, Section 121

    In a stadium full of larger-than-life potato swirls, loaded baseball helmets, and fun-but-non-idiomatic beer bats, a simple quesadilla might seem, well—simple. But when you want something that’s just straight-up great without any gimmicks, this is it. The chunks of chicken have tang from a citrusy marinade, and the melty cheddar and monterey jack goes perfectly with the spicy chipotle ranch.
