LSU forward Angel Reese was selected by the Chicago Sky with the No. 7 overall pick in the WNBA Draft on Monday night.

Reese was named the 2024 SEC Player of the Year and earned All-American honors from multiple publications. As a senior this season, she averaged 18.6 points, 13.4 rebounds, 2.3 assists, and 1.9 steals per game.

Following her selection in the WNBA Draft, Reese's contract was released by Spotrac.

Reese is set to sign a 4-year deal worth over $324,000 with the Chicago Sky. She will have a chance to earn multiple incentives, including being named WNBA Rookie of the Year and being an All-Star selection. On3 Sports listed Reese's NIL value at almost $1.8 million last season.

Reese is set to join South Carolina forward Kamilla Cardoso, who was also selected by the Chicago Sky in the 2024 WNBA Draft.
