Shooting death investigation underway in Irwindale
Authorities are investigating a deadly shooting in Irwindale on Sunday. The shooting was reported at around 10:30 a.m. in the riverbed near the 605 Freeway, just south of the 210 Freeway, according to a statement from Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department detectives. Circumstances surrounding the shooting remain unclear, but Irwindale Police Department officers arrived to find a person dead at the scene. Their identity has not yet been released. LASD is assisting IPD with the investigation. SkyCal flew over the scene of the shooting on Sunday, which showed a large encampment area off the embankment of the freeway where two SWAT vehicles and nearly a half dozen officers were searching the area with firearms drawn.No further information was provided.
Two suspects are arrested for allegedly stealing truck and burglarizing building
Two suspects were arrested for allegedly stealing a truck and burglarizing a building, according to the Fontana Police Department. On May 26 at about 3:12 a.m., officers located a stolen 2007 Ford F250 in the area of Arrow Boulevard and Live Oak Avenue. As officers were waiting for additional officers to arrive, the driver of the vehicle pulled over on his own, said Public Information Officer Daniel Romero.

SOUTH EL MONTE, Calif., May 27 (KNN) — Firefighters discovered a body inside a burned commercial building after battling the blaze consuming the structure late Sunday night. Deputies with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department and Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel responded to a commercial building fire at approximately 11:23 p.m. in the 10100 block of Rush Street in the city of South El Monte.
