Free CARTA beach shuttle returning Memorial Day weekend

ISLE OF PALMS, S.C. (WCBD) — Charleston Area Regional Transportation Authority’s (CARTA) free summer beach shuttle service is returning next weekend.

Beginning May 25, the ‘Beach Reach’ route will return, operating on weekends only. CARTA will run the service on the Mondays of Memorial Day, July 4 and Labor Day, officials said.

The shuttle is scheduled to start service at 9:15 a.m. every Saturday and run hourly, with transport stopping at 5:30 p.m.

“Shuttle will pick up at Towne Centre at stop ID #715 on Market Center Blvd and will travel directly to IOP stop located at Ocean Blvd, then will return to Towne Centre,” CARTA said.
