Bill Murray spends Halloween at a Yonkers bar

It was a treat, not a trick at Rory Dolan's in Yonkers when actor/comedian Bill Murray showed up on Halloween. The McLean Avenue bar is continually festive — owner Rory Dolan hosts a party no matter what night Halloween falls on, but this being a Saturday, it was particularly celebratory. And all the more so when Murray came in with two friends, ate dinner (he had rib-eye and a nice bottle of wine), and later, helped pour Guinness from behind the bar. Food: It's Halloween season, here's where to eat in Sleepy Hollow, Tarrytown Dolan said he was friendly with customers, many of whom approached him to talk about their favorite movies of his. Dolan, meanwhile, discussed golf courses around the world with him, including prime spots in Ireland. Murray also told Dolan he wanted to check out his place because of its reputation as having great energy. Murray's sighting, which Dolan displayed on his restaurant's Instagram page, was the latest in a string of celebrity spottings this fall. J-Lo was seen at Coffee Unique in Bronxville getting coffee while New York Knicks Point Guard Jalen Brunson, a Scarsdale resident and Laughing Horse regular, was seen in Harrison. Trader Joe's plans 2 new New York stores. See where they're going

Two new Trader Joe's stores are planned for New York, expanding the popular grocery chain's presence in the state. The California-based retailer announced plans this summer to open new locations in the Syracuse area and Yonkers as part of its latest nationwide expansion. The plans add to the company's growth in New York, which includes a Long Island store that opened earlier this year. The expansion comes as Trader Joe's continues to draw shoppers with its private-label products and competitively priced groceries. Where are the new Trader Joe's stores? According to Trader Joe's, the two planned stores will be located at: Camillus: 3515 W. Genesee St., in the Syracuse area. Yonkers: 2482 Central Park Ave. The Camillus store, located just west of Syracuse in Onondaga County, will be about 9,000 square feet and become the area's second Trader Joe's. The existing Syracuse-area store is at 3422 Erie Blvd. E. in DeWitt. The Yonkers location will cover about 10,000 square feet. When will the new Trader Joe's stores open? Food truck fest making its fourth stop at Bergen Town Center

Bergen Town Center in Paramus will have its fourth annual food truck fall festival on Nov. 8, which will bring food, music, games and even the Red Bulls soccer club to the festivities. The event, which will be located at the mall’s Route 4 parking lot outside of World Market, will run from noon to 5 p.m. It has a rain date of Nov. 15. In addition to food trucks, the festival will have a screening of the NFL Football Red Zone highlights program, a photo booth, a live DJ, mini golf, a beer garden, henna and children’s activities, according to a press release from the mall. This includes arts and crafts, face painting, giant games and a bubble show. The Red Bulls New York MLS team, World Market, Tacoria, and NY Life Insurance will also be in attendance, with the Red Bulls bringing a mascot character, according to a mall representative. All hail the Caesar salad; best ones in Westchester, Rockland

Fall is a time for soups, apple cider and pumpkin everything but for me, there's comfort in Caesar salad. Call it romaine romance: What's great about Caesars are that they're light enough to remind me of summer but substantial enough (especially when you add salmon or steak) to be a meal. There's also something comforting about the combination of crisp lettuce, creamy dressing and crouton crunchiness that leads to my Caesar state of mind. Whether you prefer yours with chicken breast and romaine lettuce, plumped with kale, or topped with anchovies (a divisive factor, I know), menus in Westchester and Rockland have an option with your name on it. What follows are a few of my favorites, keeping in mind I'm a no anchovies gal (though I'll get them mixed in.) More: 19 new restaurants open in Westchester Polpettina, Eastchester Sometimes, the original is hard to beat. Which is why the Caesar at Polpettina has my attention. While I wouldn’t call it entirely traditional — there’s nothing about this place that feels old-fashioned — it certainly embraces the philosophy of making every ingredient count.
