Car chase damages at Fall Creek Elementary to exceed estimate
ITHACA, N.Y. — A police chase in early February ended with a parked car pushed through an exterior wall at Fall Creek Elementary. The Ithaca City School District (ICSD) installed a temporary cover shortly after the incident, but the permanent fix is all but certain to exceed the original estimate by tens of thousands of dollars.

Endicott Man Charged in Tioga County After Shooting Animal in Head
An Endicott man is facing charges in Tioga County after the sheriff's office says he shot an animal in the head. According to the Tioga County Sheriff's Office, Jeffrey W. Wike was arrested and charged with Aggravated Cruelty to Animals and Criminal Mischief after an investigation into an incident in which Wike shot a companion animal in the head with a firearm.

Guiderail Repair Work to Impact Tioga County Drivers Friday Morning
A portion of State Route 17 in Owego will be closed in the early morning hours of Friday, May 17th for repair work. According to the NYSDOT, SR 17 eastbound will be closed between Exit 65 and Exit 66 in the Town of Owego from 2 a.m. to 6 a.m. This is to allow for repair work to a damaged guiderail.
