Carlsbad house fire victim may have died trying to save his 5 dogs, neighbor says
A neighbor tells NBC 7 a man may have died while trying to save five dogs inside his burning Carlsbad duplex over Memorial Day weekend. Despite a quick response, the fire at 952 Pine Street on Saturday was already at a rolling burn. The smoke and flames could be seen just about anywhere in the neighborhood.

Auburn advances to match play in NCAAs to face Virginia
Starting the final round of stroke play in the NCAA Men's Golf Championships on the much harder back nine at LaCosta Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, the No. 1 Auburn Tigers struggled out of the gate on Monday before a strong finish secured a spot in match play on Tuesday.
