BIG Boro Bash: The newly rebranded community event is back and bigger than ever
Founded by Enrique Carman and his brother Miguel Carman , the BIG Boro Bash is looking to become a staple annual tradition that celebrates the Statesboro area. The original concept was intended to serve as a formal business expo, but it has evidently adhered to a more celebratory, festival-style format. The two brothers began this journey with no established team, resources, or local buy-in. After seeking guidance from Dr. Curtis Sproul at the Parker College of Business at Georgia Southern University, they rebuilt their organization's foundations and drew roughly 60 students to an early meeting. What was initially envisioned as a professional networking expo has gradually taken on the atmosphere of a downtown needing an opportunity to gather and express its culture and love for its city. Through live music, food trucks, and a platform for local vendors and businesses, the event organizers recognized that the original title no longer reflected what attendees were experiencing, and a rebrand was opted for. Thus, the “BIG Boro Bash” was
