SAVANNAH, Ga. (WTGS) — Homeless numbers have decreased since last year in Savannah. The Homeless Authority presented its statistic updates and goals to the city on Thursday. Based on the 2024 homeless count in January, 579 people on any given night are unsheltered in Savannah. Officials say that number is a 22.5% decrease from last year's count.
