Ridgeland mothers remember loved ones lost to fentanyl
Two women who share the same first name recently discussed another common thread that both wish did not exist. Beverly Daley-DeByle and Beverly Cleland both lost children to fentanyl overdoses and they want to spread the message of its dangers. The two attended a recent National Fentanyl Awareness event May 7 at the Jasper County Coroner's Office to support other families of those who have been affected by the drug.
Coastal Carolina Hospital unveils new operating room
A new operating room recently opened it doors, expanding services for one local hospital serving Jasper County and the surrounding areas. Coastal Carolina Hospital officially opened the new room during a May 14 ceremony at 1000 Medical Center Drive in Hardeeville. In February, the hospital joined Novant Health, a not-for-profit healthcare system which has been expanding into South Carolina.
