    Brownsville PD search for man wanted in car theft

    BROWNSVILLE, Texas ( ValleyCentral ) — Video of a man wanted in connection to a stolen vehicle is being shared by the Brownsville Police Department.

    The man pictured above is a person of interest in the theft of a 2013 Chevy Malibu that was taken from the 800 block of N. Expressway 77. The car was allegedly stolen at 1:56 a.m. on May 6.

    The owner of the Chevy said they left the key in the ignition while they walked away from the car. Shortly after they saw someone get in their car and drive away with it.

    The car was seen crossing into Mexico a few minutes later at 2:01 a.m.
