Northern California player wins big Powerball prize as $847 million jackpot hit

A Powerball ticket sold in Northern California fell just one number short of winning the $847 million jackpot, lottery officials said. Instead, the lucky ticket won $73,668. The ticket matched four winning numbers and the Powerball in the drawing Wednesday, Nov. 4, the California State Lottery said. California adjusts lottery prizes based on the number of tickets sold and number of winners. A player in New Jersey won the $847 million jackpot. Where was winning Powerball ticket sold in California? The lucky ticket was sold at a Chevron station at 3411 Blume Drive in San Pablo, lottery officials said. What were winning numbers in Wednesday’s drawing? The winning numbers were 15, 34, 41, 53 and 56 with a Powerball of 21. The Power Play multiplier was 2x. What is the Powerball jackpot up to now?
