Nearly 3 Inches of Rain Floods Falmouth and Brockton, Shuts Down Roads

Off-duty officers were called in to help manage the chaos as road crews scrambled to close flooded stretches on both ends, leaving at least one local business barely able to operate.

A $2.40 single ticket on the T works out to just 1.21% of Boston's average daily wage of $198, according to new global research comparing transit costs to local incomes.

Inside Boston's Forgotten Subway Tunnel, Rusted Tracks and Cold War Crackers

NBC10 Boston went inside the forgotten passage, part of the historic Tremont Street Subway, and found it frozen in time, down to stacked civil-defense ration cans left over from the Cold War.
