Warrant issued for Balsam Lake man
A warrant has been issued for a Balsam Lake man who pleaded guilty to stealing a U-Haul but failed to appear in Barron County Circuit Court for a hearing on Wednesday. Christopher R. Foltos, 49, formerly of Phoenix, Arizona, had been charged on July 17 with felony driving or operating a vehicle without the owner’s consent after the vehicle was tagged in Rice Lake by the FLOCK camera system. Foltos pleaded guilty to a reduced charge of misdemeanor theft on Feb. 9, and he was sentenced to 31 days in jail with credit for 31 days plus ordered to pay $8,235.82 in restitution.
