SOMERVILLE, NJ - Row after row of smiling faces have popped up on the front lawn of Somerville High School, 275 placards reflecting the relief, joy and achievement of high school graduation. Helping out were Jennifer DePace, assistant principal; Dave Damaschke, supervisor of Guidance, Tim Davis, athletic director and Kurt Lorentzen, business teacher. Foley said the outdoor gallery is popular with students, many of whom pose for pictures with parents, family and friends at the conclusion of graduation ceremonies. Grand jury declines to indict N.J. high school principal
NEWARK, N.J. -- A grand jury has declined to indict the principal of a New Jersey high school on a charge of endangering the welfare of a child. Frank Sanchez was accused of an assault on a former student at the high school in March 2023. Prosecutors claim Sanchez pushed, shoved and pulled a 16-year-old former student. Summit Student Named National Merit Scholar
EVANSTON, IL -- The National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC) announced over 2,900 winners of National Merit Scholarships financed by U.S. colleges and universities. Officials of each sponsor college selected their scholarship winners from among the Finalists in the 2024 National Merit Scholarship Program who plan to attend their institution.
