Deion Sanders and Colorado lost another player to the transfer portal on Monday as defensive back Omarion Cooper entered his name into the portal.

Last season, Cooper started eight games for the Buffaloes in his first season in Boulder. He recorded 37 total tackles, two tackles for loss, one sack, five pass breakups, and one forced fumble.

Cooper started his college career at Florida State, playing in 20 games for the Seminoles over two seasons. He recorded 30 total tackles and three interceptions.

Cooper signed with Florida State as a four-star prospect out of Lehigh Acres, Florida. He ranked as the No. 30 cornerback and No. 47 player in Florida, according to the On3 industry rankings .

It seems that history is repeating itself with Colorado. The Buffaloes had a record number of players transfer last season and have had over 20 players enter the portal this month.

The Buffaloes were not able to return to a bowl game in Sanders' first season. Colorado started the season with three straight wins but lost seven of its final eight games.

Colorado has landed nine commitments from the transfer portal over the past two weeks, including multiple additions during the spring game this weekend. The Buffaloes will look to compete for the first conference title since 2001.
