Johnson City man sentenced to 95 years in prison for murder and attempted murder
WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WCYB) — A Johnson City man was sentenced to more than 95 years in prison for murder and attempted murder, according to officials. Billy Anderson was sentenced earlier this month in the shooting death of Brionah Tester in March 2022 and for stabbing a fellow inmate with a broken lightbulb in October 2022.

Jonesborough BMA opts not to raise property taxes
Jonesborough residents won't have to worry about a property tax increase this year. Bristol Tennessee's new trash pickup policy leaves residents frustrated
BRISTOL, Tenn. (WCYB) — The City of Bristol, Tennessee implemented a new trash pick-up policy and many residents are unhappy with the changes. Now we’re requesting our residents to make an appointment to have those items picked up. Whereas previously they would've just been picked up on the same day as the regular trash, said Director of Community Relations for the City of Bristol Tennessee, Jon Luttrell.
