Gray woman accused of dragging wife with vehicle charged
JONESBOROUGH, Tenn. (WCYB) — A Gray woman accused of dragging her wife with a vehicle has been charged, according to the Washington County, Tennessee Sheriff's Office. Deputies responded to the 5900 block of Bobby Hicks Highway on Sunday. Witnesses said they saw 31-year-old Stephanie Letterman and her wife in an argument. Witnesses added Letterman was attempting to leave when her wife grabbed the vehicle’s door handle. Letterman then put the vehicle in reverse and began dragging her wife with the vehicle, witnesses stated. The woman was drug about 10 feet before she let go, witnesses added.

ELIZABETHTON, Tenn. (WCYB) — An assistant district attorney has been suspended without pay after he was charged with driving under the influence in Elizabethton. Austin Kenneth VanHoy, 28, was charged with possession of a handgun (under the influence), DUI, and violation of implied consent following an incident that happened on Sunday, according to the Elizabethton Police Department.
