Missing Metro Detroit woman, 38, found dead in Oakland County
WATERFORD TOWNSHIP, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - A 38-year-old Independence Township woman who was reported missing over the weekend was found dead on MondayLacie Nicole Santia was found at about 2 p.m. in Waterford Oaks County Park, according to the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.Santia's family reported her missing Saturday morning. Authorities found her vehicle later that day in the parking lot of the county park. The keys were still in the ignition.Investigators began searching the park on Sunday but terminated the search when they didn't initially find her."There appears to be no foul play but in any event we are checking everything to be sure," Sheriff Michael Bouchard said in a statement. "We ask that you keep the family in your prayers."

Kemarrie Phillips, 20, of Pontiac, admitted last week to killing a female Lyft driver in 2022. She was the mother three. The Oakland Press reports Phillips pleaded no contest to second-degree murder and felony firearms in the slaying of Lyft driver Dina Terrell, 49, of Eastpointe, who was found in Pontiac in the front seat of her car, with a gunshot wound to the head on Oct. 21, 2022.
Wrong-way driver travels nearly four miles before police stop him on Telegraph Road
A man driving the wrong way on Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township was going 50 miles an hour in heavy traffic and nearly hit a motorcyclist before officers could get his attention and stop him, after a one-mile pursuit. He was headed the wrong way a total of about four miles total.
Man injured after explosion in Metro Detroit home
STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. (CBS DETROIT) - A man was seriously injured on Wednesday after an explosion inside his home in Sterling Heights.Police responded to a home on Canal Road, where they said a man was working on something in his home when the explosion happened.The cause of the explosion and what the man was working on is unknown.Michigan State Police's bomb squad responded to the scene for further investigation.Police did not release any further information.
Suspected drunk driver stopped going over 100 miles per hour on I-75
FOX 2 (WJBK) - A suspected drunk driver was stopped by police for going over 100 miles per hour on I-75 at 12:16 a.m. Saturday. The 37-year-old man was stopped near Big Beaver on the northbound side of the freeway. Officers noticed he was slurring his speech while a strong odor of intoxicants was prevalent.
