You could spend your weekend doing something sensible and forgettable, or you could drive to Rolling Greens Miniature Golf in Uniontown, Ohio, and spend two hours being genuinely, unreservedly happy. Fizzlestix impresses with specials, stellar handhelds
PERRY TWP. ‒ I'm no stranger to Fizzlestix Bar + Kitchen. I've been dining at the eatery since it opened in 2021. So, when the editors asked me to head there for a review, I didn't hesitate. You never know what you are going to find on their menu. I'll point out that The Canton Repository has reviewed Fizzlestix several times since it opened, and each time it was based on different parts of the menu. For the most recent, the now-retired Bev Shaffer spotted a flight of french fries and said we just had to try that. In addition to the eatery's old standbys such as burgers and wraps, Fizzlestix is always cooking up something interesting. I was excited to head back during October, after I had so enjoyed its incredible burger creations last Halloween. From the Evil Dead burger, a patty infused with chorizo and beef, topped with pico de gallo, burnt cheese, fried jalapeños and sriracha aioli; to the Jack O Lantern burger, a patty infused with brown sugar and cheddar and topped with bacon, cheddar, lettuce and candy soy sauce, it was difficult to choose what to eat. Knowing the chef always has a great burger

Why Your Garage Door Matters More Than You
If you’re a mom in Akron, your garage is probably the busiest entrance to your home. It’s where the grocery bags, soccer cleats, strollers, and school backpacks go in and out. Yet the garage door is one of the most overlooked parts of a house until it makes a loud grinding noise or refuses to open on a freezing January morning.

Merriman Valley Pizza's fare goes well beyond pizza🍕
It's Friday and time to talk food. I hope everyone had a great Halloween weekend. I had a blast judging the Akron Art Museum's Circa Thriller Halloween costume contest for the second year. Check out a special treat that I enjoyed eating at the party in the Best Bites section below. I have some enticing restaurant news to share. ● First, breakfast is back at Bob's Hamburg ! The venerable greasy spoon, which hadn't had breakfast hours for two years, is back at it, with breakfast from 7 to 11 a.m. Tuesday through Saturday. That includes sweet and salty hamcakes, which are ham-infused pancakes, served with two eggs and potatoes. Also for breakfast are house-made beef sausages patties, hamburger gravy and biscuits and deep-fried French toast seasoned with cinnamon sugar and topped with sweetened, condensed milk and syrup. A total of 10 breakfast entrees are offered at the original Bob's at 1351 East Ave. in Akron. ● Are you thinking about the holidays already? D'Agnese's at White Pond in Akron will have a Comelli wine dinner at 6 p.m. Dec. 9, pairing Comelli wines from northeastern Italy with a menu by the restaurant's culinary team. That will include a pinot
