Demolition of former Super Kmart complete
MEDINA — Demolition of the former Super Kmart and Sears Auto Center is complete as crews worked to clean up the debris Wednesday morning. Medina Building official Dan Gladish said that once the site is cleaned, crews will begin to prep the building pad for the construction of a Meijer store. WADSWORTH — The Wadsworth softball team found itself a new mascot named Mr. Willy Wonka on Tuesday. The athletes formerly known as the Grizzlies had a ton of laughs and took plenty of photographs with the orphaned infant raccoon that freshman Delayna Demiter’s grandfather, Greg Gordon, rescued from the side of the road earlier that afternoon. Gordon brought the raccoon to his daughter April to help nurse it back to health until it is ready to be released back into the wild.

WADSWORTH — Several pieces of artwork filled the gyms at Wadsworth Middle School during Wadsworth City Schools’ Fine Arts Festival on Sunday. The Fine Arts Festival, at 150 Silvercreek Road, included art, music and other performances by Wadsworth students.
