A woman was arrested for domestic violence at 6:20 p.m. June 4 after police were called to a home on West Friendship Street. Police and fire units responded to a mulch fire at 4:56 p.m. June 4 and were able to quickly put out the fire before any significant damage was done, according to reports.

Akron parents charged with child endangerment in death of 6-year-old

AKRON, Ohio — A 16-year-old was shot and charged with multiple crimes following an incident that took place at an alleged gambling house in Akron on Monday night. According to Akron Police, officers responded to the Royal Queens Party Center in the 800 block of Brown Street at 7:15 p.m. for a report of a shooting. The establishment had already been on the police department’s radar and a concern to area citizens as an alleged gambling house.
