YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio (MyValleyTributes) – In loving memory of Tyrell Elliot Hodge, Sr., a cherished son, brother, father and friend, who touched the hearts of many. Tyrell, born in Youngstown, Ohio, on August 6, 1997, illuminated this world with his contagious zest for life. Tragically taken from us on Saturday, May 4, 2024, Tyrell’s vibrant spirit and warm presence will be greatly missed.

BELOIT — Down 4-0 after 1-1/2 innings, West Branch High School’s softball team came back to defeat Ashtabula Edgewood 11-6 at the Warriors’ Sis Woods Softball Field. West Branch, which is the No. 7 seed in the tournament, trailed 4-0 to Edgewood when their game was halted by pouring rain and muddy field conditions on Saturday.

The East basketball programs have their new head coaches,. Lavance Turnage is the new boys basketball coach and Anthony Pastella is taking over the girls program. Turnage has been an assistant with the Bears for several years while Pastella gets his first varsity head coaching job after serving as an assistant at Struthers.
