Brightside Project announces back to school assistance programs
The Brightside Project has announced the return of its annual Back to School Assistance Programs for the 2024-25 school year. The programs include clothing and shoe vouchers for students in the Salem City School District, as well as backpack and school supply giveaways for all students in Columbiana and Mahoning Counties.

Rabies vaccine baits to be dropped in Portage, Columbiana and Carroll counties
The U.S. Department of Agriculture will begin distributing oral rabies vaccine baits for wildlife in parts of eastern Ohio starting Monday and continuing through most of August.
